How the CredGuild question bank works

What you can do without an account, with a free account and with Pro, and how study mode differs from timed mode.

CredGuild is a study site for Level I of the CFA® Program. The notes for all 102 readings of the 2027 curriculum are free, and the question bank holds 3,369 questions, organized by reading.

Without an account

You can read every note and answer the 398 free questions, a few on every reading. Each free question comes with its full explanation: why the right answer is right and why each other option is wrong. Your progress is kept on the device you use.

With a free account

A free account can answer any question in the bank, up to 50 new questions a day. On the questions outside the free set you see whether you were right, the correct letter and a link to the part of the notes that covers it; the full explanation on those questions is part of Pro. Your progress is saved to your account, and the study plan picks up from where you are.

A free account also includes one full mock exam: 180 questions in two sessions of 90, with 135 minutes for each. You get your score, your score by topic and the correct letter on every question, and the free questions in the paper keep their explanations. The mock does not count toward the daily limit.

With Pro

Pro adds the full explanation on every question, takes away the daily limit and lets you take as many mock exams as you like. Each mock is a new paper drawn from the same bank you practice with, so a question you have already seen can appear again.

There are two ways to buy Pro. Exam Pass costs $99 once and lasts until the end of the exam window you choose, plus 14 days, and never more than 12 months from purchase; it does not renew. Monthly costs $19 a month and renews until you cancel; after you cancel, access lasts until the end of the period you have paid for.

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying if you have not used any paid content, which means opening an explanation outside the free questions or another Pro feature. Duplicate charges and technical failures are always refunded, and a refund ends access.

Study mode and timed mode

In study mode the answer and the explanation appear as soon as you answer each question. In timed mode nothing is shown until you submit the whole set. Questions you leave unanswered are reported separately rather than marked wrong. When you are signed in, your record separates your accuracy on first attempts from your accuracy on questions you have answered before.
